Welcome, Volunteer
“In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” or even better – be a writer.
The Write Connect invites school students (Gr. VII to Gr. XI) to volunteer as a writer and/or a reader for students with special needs to assist them in writing their class X & XII Board exams.
Special needs students who are unable to write their exams due to physical or cognitive challenges are allowed the facility of a writer (also called a scribe or an amanuensis) by the Education Board.
How can Volunteers help?:
- Volunteers will act as writers (and/or readers) for students with special needs.
- The first step is to fill in some basic contact details along with your current grade, location, availability etc.
- Once volunteers fill in these details, they will be added to The Write Connect database.
- As and when the need arises, volunteers will be contacted with details including date, time, location, etc.
- Volunteers can then confirm their availability after which, they will be connected to the examinees.
Please note: After confirming their availability, Volunteers will be briefed about the guidelines i.e. the Dos and Don'ts for a writer/scribe by the Special Schools team.
Volunteer Certificate: In recognition of your selfless contribution as a writer, the Special School will issue you a Certificate upon completion of your service.
